There's a company in Darwin that specialises in Australian native aquatic plants and fish that you just can't get anywhere else.

This has got to be my favourite product. I saw this stuff mentioned several times on a local forum. They're raving about it over there.

Complementing this product is this one:

and just when you think it couldn't get any more ridiculous, you see this one!

Here is Sammy...you can't tell but he has gold eyes too, he has them closed since he is being loved on by my daughter...(her name is Alexis:cool:) And the whitish spot above his nose is just the flash.

Sammy used to be a fireball but he has setteled down in his old age... at least when he is in the house anyway. :) He is about 10 years old now....He is quite agile though and loves catching all kinds of critters around the property....a regular killing machine when it comes to rodents of all kinds...but he is so gentle with the kids....lets them love on him even when they are rough and just walks away when he has had enough. :)

That's a lovely photo HG!! My critters are 5yo now and act like they're 2! My previous cat died at age 21 (human years) and that was the same year I got married, so after the honeymoon, Brian hounded me for a new kitten to care for that was ours (as opposed to Methusela who was just mine).

We found Alexis and Midajah at the shelter and just couldn't separate them, so we decided to take them both. Now we have double trouble. I'll dig up some more photos.
