i see people feed tilapia strips to carnivores like arrowanas, bichirs.... dunno if its good for them, maybe ill ask if they feed bacon as well

i used to feed my columbian sharks boiled chicken...but it really made a nasty mess in the aquarium...the fat from the chicken would turn into these white blobs and it was all over the aquarium. I assume the same would happen with fat from the bacon. no bueno.

Bacon is cured and no telling what other human additives are in it. I wouldn't chance it. Heck, might as well throw a fried chicken leg in there too. :)

You were joking, right?

Don't do it.

I put a really small piece of bacon (smaller than a BB) in my SW tank once. It was in there for less than a half of a second before it was viciously eaten by one of my damsels.

Wasn't a smart thing to do, though.

I've fed pre chewed bacon to my bichirs before. They survived but I'm sure it's not the greatest thing for them.
