So I was thinking of getting a 10 gallon and getting 6 female bettas , is that too much or is it good ? And some tips would be helpful

This is what I'm getting :

Grreat Choice™ 10 Gallon Aquarium Starter Kit : 29.99

Top Fin® Aquarium Thermometer Strips 2.79

6 female bettas : 6.93

Topfin@ aquarium gravel vacuum : 9.99

Aquarium salt : 4.49

As previously stated Aq salt not needed unless you're treating for disease. I would fully cycle the tank using pure ammonia before adding fish. It'll be more iffy in a 10g IMO because theres less space for them to escape each other. You'll need LOTS & LOTS of plants to break line of sight & some caves for them to hide in. I have a sorority of 10 in a 46g, I don't think I'd do a sorority in anything smaller than a 20g.

You need a heater, and bettas aren't brackish or saltwater, so you don't need salt...

I know , and I'm getting aqaurium salt for my other bettas too just in case so if something happens I don't have to rush to the petstore

Whatever you end up getting just make sure you can care for it properly!!
