I usually only spend no less than 20$ on a fish and ive had them alive for over a year, but i decided to get one 80$ fish and of course this one dies after a couple weeks and then it gets replaced and this one gets stuck in an ornament and dies. Im not even going to bring it back.. Does this happen to anyone else? The expensive fish die and the cheap ones just live with no issues?

It's happened a few times but not so many for me t be alarmed. Once I lost my lemon jake and was upset, finally got another. Problem I found out was they were WC and had a harder time adapting to my parameters.

I believe they call that Murphy's Law... ;) Kind of..

I had that happen on New Years Day this year actually. All my geos went belly up but all my tetras, cories and loaches were just fine. Had to be the $100 worth of fish, not the 5 for $5 fish. :(
