Guppies fins/tails

I went to monster pets today in Philly and I was checking out there guppies and they looked beautiful and healthy but their tails looked chopped up. Will they grow back and are they okay.

Quite often, the best way to repair fin damage is clean water. They may have been under a lot of stress or placed in tanks with inappropriate tankmates.

Thanks for the info... I'm new to this and I'm just making sure I take all the right steps. I don't want to be the reason that the fish are stressed,hurt or worst... Thanks again for all the help.
