I have read that my an enemy likes to have its foot buried in the substrate... he has moved around so much that I'm scared it's going to get caught in my suction. Should I bury the foot in the sand and just leave his tentacles above the sand?

If it's moving it's both happy with something and is looking for a proper spot where it can do the best. Even if you try to put it somewhere it will still likely move
