medusa died

Can anyone tell me why my friends medusa died. The water was perfect the test kit showed no ammonia no nitrite and no nitrate. She just got it and it died a day later. Surely the transport couldn't of done it

Based on the numbers you listed it, your tank wasn't fully cycled. how long has it been up and running? What you're odd fish? Freshwater? Saltwater? Tank specs

It was cycled, I say no nitrate but I mean low readings that wouldn't harm a fish. Her tank has some guppies plates a ram a Cory and a couple of honey gourami, it went through a full cycle and has been set up for around four months. It's got me baffled mate. She got rid of alot of the livebearers before the plec arrived
