Hi new to this site. Just got a question if these are both bolivian rams I was told they are from the Lps, the one with the orange I think is a male bolivian ram but the other one has red eyes. I think it's a female not sure any advice would be appreciated. *Tried turning the pictures but cant figure out how tried editing them. Sorry

You have been sold one Bolivian ram ,the largest one. The other fish is a blue ram in my opinion. Also called a German blue ram by some people in the northern hemisphere. I write blue ram not electric blue ram. Blue rams are the original fish that have been line breed into golden rams , electric blue, black and German.

I have Bolivian rams the male and female look very similar at first glance.

Thank you for your response/ knowledge. So I do have another question I got like 3 other baby bolivian rams. All 5 school together even the German blue ram. So should I get another blue ram as a partner or just leave it as is?

Trying to pair up these dwarf cichlids ( blue rams) is not as easy as putting two fish together.
However you say it they pick their mate. They can fight and stress out ( kill) a fish that’s not doing what is required. Even a happy pair that has been laying eggs can go bad if one decides the other did something wrong ( ate the eggs ) .
Unless you have a spare tank just leave things as they are .” As is”

Long before eggs are even though of these fish are troublesome with partners.

The Bolivian is a better behaved fish IMO.
