newbie

I'm getting a 30 gallon tank this week can anyone give some tips on how to get started on my aquirum

Here are some good links, also I don't have the link (on the app), but search "the almost complete guide to fishhless cycling" or maybe someone else can supply a link, but a fishless cycle is really the way to go, much less stressful than a fish-in cycle.

Do you know anybody who has a well established healthy tank? If so get some media from them to help cycle your tank. Also, don't waste money in the test strips.... Invest in the API kit ( has bottles and tubes for testing) WAY more accurate. PATIENCE is they key, your fish will thank you in the ling run, and you won't be pulling your hair out!! Throwing fish in a tank without cycling and them dying right away is one top reason ppl throw in the towel!!! Good luck and welcome!!!
