They are pretty awesome. I used to have 5 of them. I raised them from babies and when I finally sold them they were provably about 5".
They are messy fish and u must have good filtration. they are awesome to watch eat though. I used to feed mine everything.

Oh man,your taking back to my FW days..I always had P's..
Had a nice school of red bellies ,also had a gold rhom ,2 black rhoms,and an elong..
Just lost my last black rhom a couple years ago..He was around 17 years old and nearly 13 inches
I only fed mine fresh/frozen white fishes,shrimp and scallops .
Here was my old boy..
