Progress!

I have been cycling a new tank since Jan. 1 and for the past 2 weeks it has been 0 ammonia but maxed out nitrites. Today I tested and nitrites are down to .75 ppm! still very toxic but it's the first sign of progress and I'm very happy and it should be done by next weekend. I have been keeping and excel graph of ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. It won't let me attach the file for it but I'm so happy I have been waiting for a while.

nitrites at .25 today! at this rate it'll be good by tomorrow! Can't get fish until after that, though.

My water parameters are good and I actually got a betta yesterday. He is a double tail and he is white with a light blue tail. I think he might be blue Cambodian?

Great news! The test I use is if it cycles completely from a reading of 2PPM ammonia through nitrite to nitrate in 24 hours. If yes, the cycle is done.
