PSP Problems. Can Anyone Help?

Hey, if you can help me that would be great.

I have a psp (play station portal) and I am having troubles with getting internet on it.

I am able to connect and everything, but when I got to the home area, where you can select video, game, ect. I have no Network tab on my psp. It just isn't there. I am connected for a fact because I checked a million times, I just don't have that Network tab where I can go down and select the internet browser.

If anyone can help me, or do some research and find an answer for me. That would be really really really awesome.

No I haven't, but I think I figured out my problem. The original psp (which I have) didn't have the network option, and my firmware verison is 1.5 right now. Which they have made firmware updates all the way to 5.0 so i'm trying to download the new firmware but it keeps giving me an error.

If anyone else finds something, that would be great.
