wow....thats weird...maybe thats why some fish rise to the top of the water level with their mouthes open
 
I believe fish absorb water through skin...when they rise to the top it's usually do to low oxygen levels...some fish with labyrinth organ breath air at the surface too.

+1 fish go to the surface when theres low o2 because thats where the greatest gas exchange occures
