Let's use this thread to post some good ideas for plants in a 10G tank, and their lighting/CO2 needs. What plants will do well in a 10G tank? The reason I bring this up is in my research that I've done, whenever I come across a plant I would like for my 10G, it's always something that get's too big for the tank and would work better in my 29G or my 75G. So any plants you would recommend for a 10G, please post your thoughts. Thanks...

Right off the bat I would suggest slow growing, short stem, narrow leaf plants. Of course, most carpet plants are a given:

Narrow leaf J. fern
micro swords
anubias barteri v. nana petite
most crypts

Rosette swords...Echinodorus parviflorus "tropica"

Corkscrew vals are doing good in my 10g with 2wpg...haven't gotten too tall yet.

Taiwon moss also does well.

all mosses like taiwan, christmass and java. i would also suggest a small leaf stem plant like l.repens. u may need to trim it more often but it looks nice cause of the small leaves. also like jchillen said all ground cover plants like h.cuba, glosso, riccia. i like anabuis nana aswell great looking little plant.

Some others with scale in mind. JMO except where noted.

Slow and easy
Cryptocoryne pygmaea, lucens, willisii, walkeri.
C. wendtii variants, becketii, etc if you don't mind splitting it every few months (they get wide and big).
Anubias nana "petite"
Cladorpha / Moss balls
Monosolenium tenerum
Xmas, etc mosses. Xmas is still my favorite, but like all mosses it can grow relatively fast when established, and so may belong below.

~medium and higher difficulty. May require regular trimming to look to scale.
Rotala sp from Vietnam
R. rotundifolia
R. macrandra "narrow leaf" / R. "magenta"
Bacopa australis
Micranthemum umbrosum
Ludwigia brevipes
L. arcuata (I think, have not grown it)
Hydrocotyle sp
Ranunculus papulentus
Hygrophillia difformis / Wisteria
H. corymbosa "compact"
Elatine triandra
Blyxa japonica (can get too big and better as a midground)
Heteranthera zosterifolia / Stargrass (mid-back ground)
Alternanthera reineckii
Nymphea stellata / Dwarf lilies
Mayaca fluviatilis
Lobellia cardinalis "small form" (I think, see L. arcuata.)

Harder requirements, but still relatively slow growing
Ammania sp. "Bonsai"/Rotala Indica
Rotala sp. from Goias
most Eriocaulon sp.
Hemianthus micranthemoides (this is easier for other people)

Hard stems that can grow faster, but are cool
Tonina sp
R. wallichii
R. sp "Mini"/"Blue"/"Pearl" etc
R. pusilla
R. hippuris (I think.)
R. macrandra
Ludwigia sp from Pantanal (I think.)
