20gal with needle sags and java fern

I have a 20gal long with a few needle sags and java fern. What lighting and equipment will I need?

2 watts per gallon at 6700K. A common light at Home Depot or Lowes.
Have a photo period of 6-8 hours per day.
Make sure substrate is compatible or your plants will die.
Identify the leaf feeders and the root feeders and feed accordingly.
Root feeders do well with root tabs, and leaf feeders do well with liquid ferts (macro and micro).
