So I just acquired a 55 gallon tank with no hood/light. I plan to do some beginner plants in it. Mostly java fern at first, but I would like a light that would let me expand to some medium difficulty plants. Any Ideas on a light that is not super expensive?

2 x SunBlaster T5-HO with NanoTech reflectors.
Come up with a DIY way to mount them (super easy).
Run the stock bulb's in both, or run 1 x stock bulb and 1 x pink flora style bulb such as a ZooMed FloraSun.
This will allow low / medium light yet offer expandability for the future. Each bulb can be run on it's own timer, or you can link them together and run up to 6 from the same power supply.
