I made a rock planter about 2 square inches and planted a temple plant in it with nothing but NC red clay outta my back yard. It's topped off with a small handful of gravel.

I put it in my 29 gal on 7/12/05 and today it has reached the top. One question, how do I prune it & root it ?

Thx,

Dave

Wow, looks like it likes the clay. Nice job :) I'd like to place an order for fifty pounds of it please :p

I wish I could help you on pruning the temple but I have never kept it before and don't know the first thing about. Hopefully someone here will chime in.

Its impressive such a big rooted plant grows fast in only a 2" square planter of NC clay.

Ah, NC red clay! Definitely no shortage of red clay in NC. I am from Kitty Hawk myself. BTW tank looks great.

Looks like it loves that red clay! I have no idea what other minerals would be in that clay, but the red color is a dead giveaway that it's loaded with Iron.
