acrylic or glass splash gaurd

Hi all,
I just got my 3 bulb fixture from CatalinaAquarium minus the splash gaurd. They were happy to send me one but it is acrylic. Is there a major difference between acrylic and glass?

Glass. Acrylic can turn yellow

Would it be easy to get a glass gaurd separately?

Oh, nevermind. I read the title, not the thread. Haha... What they sent will be fine. My fixtures have some sort of plastic spash guards, it's not glass for sure.
