African Nut Plant???

I just got this plant from petco, it was in one of those tubes with the weird gell stuff. It was labeled as an african nut plant. It also had a scientific name on it, but i forgot it and already threw out the package. I would like to know what the requirments for this plant are and just some information about it would be helpful. Also, sorry but I have no way to get a picture of it. Thanks
 
The only African nut plant I know of is the African Kola Nut tree. Problem with Pet Smart is that most of those little plants in those little tubes are not water plants. Oh they may live in water a short time and then they die, leaving you wondering what you did. If you can post a picture that might help.

It doesn't really look like that. It is as tall as a sword, but the leaves are about the size of a quarter and round.
