Have noticed my amazon sword started growing roots out of a "stem" that it has grown out of it with what looks like another little amazon sword growing out of the top, is this another little sword? If so how can I harvest it to put it in another tank?

Just wait. It will grow longer (stem) and develop more plants. Wait until each plant has a min of 4-6 leaves on them. U then can either cut each individually and plant wherever or just fold the whole stem and plant it that way. Just be patient tho.

I have one hats soon the same thing and each little plant has like 5-7 leaves. Should I just take them off or let them detach themselves ?

Don't mean to hijack your thread lol

I'm not familiar with swords detaching themselves, in my experience.

FYI, It's called an adventitious shoot.
