My amazon sword is starting to get a couple yellow leaves.

Dose:
API CO2 booster daily
Flourish 3X a week
Sand substrate
Low light 9 hours
API root tabs

Any ideas why?

Could be the root tabs. I don't know how good APIs are.

Yellow is supposed to be iron, nitrate, or maybe phosphate deficiency. ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1408206934.975720.jpg

Hello New...

A yellow plant isn't getting enough iron. But, if you have a reasonable fish load and feed a balanced diet and change the water frequently to replace minerals in the water that are lost to filtration, the plant should be fine. Keep the tank water around 76 degrees and a pH in the 6 to 8 range.

Ease up on the ferts. That much can't be good for the tank water chemistry.
