Upon returning from a business conference, my fish convinced the anubias to bloom for me!

Sweet pics! How close to the surface is the anubias? Maybe a pic of the whole plant, bud and leaves and all? Awesome

I dont think so. I believe I read pollen doesnt move too well underwater... thats why flowers are mostly found on land plants.

I've heard that you can take a Q-tip and self pollinate the flower (like Mendel and the pea plants....) but I've never done this before.

I'm still trying to get my anubias to grow....

After the room lights go out tonight, I will take a full plant pic and maybe someone can tell me which anubias it is :D

Here is the tank--a nonstandard 50 gallon.

For a little perspective, here is Squirrel in her favorite place.

Looks like Anubias barteri, coffefolia, and those pics are awesome! My nana has a bloom right now, too, but it has not opened and my camera is nothing like yours - your recent pics have been so incredible - you must tell us what camera you have! I need to put it on my list for Santa.

I use a similar camera to the one Fruitbat uses--Fuji FinePix S602Zoom. I got it on eBay 1 1/2 years ago and I am just now figuring it out

Another vote for coffefolia. Great looking tank!

LOL same with mine, it's nice learning to use something after you've had it for 1.5 years!
