API Root Tabs

Hey everyone,

I have API root tabs and was wandering how often do i put a new one in??? I have been doing it monthly.

Sounds right to me. If your plants are yellowing or turning brown step it up a week to three weeks but once a month is usually good.

4-5 should cover most of the tank.

I did that and the tank was a BIG brown mess!!!

Are you talking about the detrius from the substrate getting in the water column?

That is normal and if you have decent filtration will go away very quickly.

I'd go by whatever it says to do on the package. With the root tabs that I make, I only add one under each heavy rooting plant, in areas without heavy rooters I only put one per approx 8-12 square inches of space.
