Hi everyone,

Just wanted to ask everyone their opinions on burying aponogeton's bulb?

I've always buried them and had no issues until I recently upgraded my tank and changed the gravel. The gravel was a nightmare! Long story short, most of my plants didn't like the new gravel including the aponogetons(It was causing the bulb to rot). I've recently changed the gravel again to an active gravel and everything is starting to recover.

So what is everyone's opinion on whether or not you should bury the bulb?

Thanks
Hubert

I most of the time half bury the bulb, or when fully buried barely beneath the surface. They go crazy in a good substrate, light and added Co2. Even do good in my very low tech tank.
