Background Plant for 5.5 gal

My 5.5 gallon looks a bit empty. Just curious as to what some of you have or recommend as a good background plant for a 5.5 gal.
I have 2 x 10 watt screw in CFL's. No CO2.

I have a similar setup with a 13 (?) watt screw-in CFL bulb, and my betta, who doesn't care about plants much. Java ferns are growing well in this tank; worth a try if you have patience and a few starters from a larger plant.

anacharis grows like CRAZY. it will fill the back of your tank and whatever else you want it to.

i would use crypts. low light and looks great with many different colors.
