Best Bulb for PC?

I have a 10K bulb, would a 6700K work better or does it not matter?

Doesn't matter as long as they are "full spectrum". I run 10k's and 5k's, I have seen others run upto 14k and as low as 3k... All with good results.

I use 10000K, I like the bluer light.. but it's personal preference.

PC bulbs are almost exclusively tri-phosphor (full spectrum)

It won't make a huge difference (won't even make a noticeable difference.) However I have read that the red spectrum is responsible for propagation, But from what I've observed, this isn't true.

Wizz, I recall reds as being useful in flowering but much propagation in submersed plants is through other means than flowering.

That being said and completely off topic I like "bluer" lights but usually find 6500 super daylights nicely white and easy to find.

In reality thats about the only difference in color temps. 3500 appears yellowish, 5-7000 mostly white light, and the 10k range bluish.

Power Compact. (Hover your mouse over the PC letters)

Hoover, You're right it was flowering that I read.. But, again, haven't noticed it having an effect.
