Best way to battle brown algae?

So I just recently discovered this brown stuff growing on my live plants and driftwood is brown algae in my 10g. What is the best way to tackle this junk? I am trying to figure out the source but I cannot come up with a conclusion. I have a photo time for about 9 hours a day and there seems to be a lot of oxygen. Could anyone help me out


My levels are ph 7, ammo 0, trites 0, trates 5.

Wait it out. Diatoms are common in new tanks, and imo, will periodically occur in even established tanks.
