What do most folks use in their bubble counters?
I read somewhere that pure glycerine is good because
it’s viscosity is thick enough to make bubble counting easier.
Is this safe??
Thankyou
Charles

I use plain ole tap water. You have to refill them every few months due to evaporation, but that's not a huge issue.

I saw quite some time ago where someone used vegetable oil.
I tried it and after a couple of months it was all cloudy, it was hard to clean out completely.
Now I just use the syringe that comes with the test kits and top it up with water from the aquarium.

glycerin works well with lower bubble counts, sorta foams at high bubble counts though. Doesn't evaporate.

i just use water. never heard of anyone using glycerin though not saying people dont.
