I'm not sure what kind of algae this is that grows on my plants so I'm not sure how to deal with it. I'd describe it as a "black dust algae", but I didn't see anything online about something like that, just green dust algae. The leaves with the algae also start disintegrating or being pulled apart by my amano shrimp... I never see them do it, but somehow the affected leaves end up worn down. Anyone seen this before?

Pic#1: algae on alternathera reineckii
Pic#2: normal alternathera reineckii (but see how the leaves below are wearing down? that's something else I need to figure out...)
Pic#3: on the amazon swords
Pic#4: on the filter spout

I suppose, if you think so! The green spot algae spots I've seen in my tanks are bigger than those dots and is found on the glass, but perhaps it behaves differently on plants. I will just have to treat it like it is and see what happens!
