I have a plants only tank for now. No fishes, no overfeeding.
Today I saw for the first time many micro planarias on the tank glass.

But how???? I have no food in my tank. So the question is simple - can some roating leaves to add the bioload and food for the planaria? Ammonia/nitrite is 0.

Thanks

If the plants are rotting it can potentially add some food to a tank. I wouldn't consider it to be a "bioload" though. Unless the plants are dying horrifying deaths and completely rotting away they should be absorbing more nutrients than they are releasing.

You can always treat the tank to get rid of them especially since there are no fish to worry about.

I buy No-Planaria. It will get rid of horrible pond snails to I guess...

How you sterilize your plants? Specially Egeria densa (it lost the color with the bleach method)?

When I get new plants I always make a solution of 1 part hydrogen peroxide 3% to 3 or 4 parts water. Then I let plants soak in the mixture 20 to 30 minutes.
