Can plants grow on plastic wood

Hi, I was wondering if plants like Anubias and Java fern can grow on a piece of plastic driftwood. I live where a big piece of driftwood costs over $200 but I have a big piece of plastic driftwood that would fit perfectly in my 75.

Yea they will root on plastic if you can stick them to it.
Try super glue to hold them in place..

Have Old Penn Plax plastic branches that once the algae and moss grow on look better then most real wood !
Probably why I still have them 20 years later.
I think they are discontinued no ,but last I got them a couple years ago they were in the bird section...

I grew some on sunken plane ornaments just fine - when I pulled the plant off, roots had managed to get a purchase somehow.

Just swapped out fake Java Fern for the real thing on this log! Still a few fake leaves on it.
