Can wisteria sustain long term as a floating plant?

I don't want it in the substrate

Don't mean to hijack your post but does anyone know how well it actually grows on the surface?

Quite well it's a nutrient hog so I don't see any difference between growth . It may be slower depending on your nutrients in your substrate as opposed to nutrients in the water column.
