Cfl in planted tank!

I don't think any kind if light should go in the tank! On top if the tank... A cfl can do some work.. Depending how big the tank is a couple/three would be good! What's your setup? Goals?
 
CFLs work great for a tight budget lighting setup, they allow us DIY guys to grow most low-med light plants! Go for it! But like Brookster mentioned, keep em on top of the tank! Wink.

Lol yes you guys know what I mean in my light hood! Lol but I have some compact fluorescents in my dirted tank and everything's going great! But in my guppy breeding tank I have some Sag subulata and some ambulia with two cfl's and they are doing amazing! I just wanted to get someone else's opinion!
