CO2 diffusion

I'm a bit crunched for money and space at the moment, so I had a quick question about diffusing my diy co2 when I start using it. Would wrapping some filter foam around an airstone help with the diffusion at all, or am I just being silly?

Also, does anyone know of any guides to making one of those pop bottle bells that actually shows some pictures? Reading and seeing are 2 completely different things.

I don't remember where, but I've seen a thread with pictures detailing how to build a CO2 diffuser out of a gravel vac. Same principles could be applied to a pop bottle.

I think I've seen the one about the gravel vac, but didn't he also have it hooked up to a powerhead (or am I just imagining things)?
