Co2 questions

I just bought some liquid co2 and it says to add daily but when should I be adding it? When the lights go on? Mid day? When lights off? And should I bother doing a diy co2 setup? I have about 8 bulbs some hair grass and a water Lilly fully grown

Dose it daily about an hour before the lights turn on. How big is the tank and what is the lighting?

It's a 55 gal and I all I remember is that on the package it said t8 plant bulbs I got them from petsmart I only have two of them

seachem says that excel is available in the water for 24 hrs, so it shouldn't matter when you dose it if you are dosing at the same time each day and the appropriate amount.
