Controller Probes
Haven't seen this one asked, so I figure I'll ask..
If you are replacing a PH controller probe, does it need to be the same brand?
ie. Pinpoint probe w/ a Milwaukee controller? or vice versa.
I only ask because of availability.. Pinpoint is much easier for me to get a hold of, but I have a Milwaukee controller.. I know the connector is the same, and it would have to be re-calibrated just a question about the signaling method

Couldn't find an answer, but I found I could order a Milwaukee from AquariumPlants.com. so I put in an order for 1.
But I think it would still be a good thing to know.

IMO a probe is a probe.
I'm certain that there are quality differences between different brands, but I am 99.9% certain that there are not compatability issues between brands.
FWIW I have a Pinpoint probe and a Milwaukee controller and they work fine together.

Exactly what I wanted to know. I'll make a note of it in case it ever comes up again.
