I have these microscopic little guys in my high light nano planted tank. It has no fish (but i does have some pond snails), and doesn't get fed food - only a tiny amount of macros and trace a couple times a week. They are very fast, and seem to skim along the surface of the glass a few inches at a time. They are shaped like this...

no, they're not planaria or nematodes. they're not wormlike. they have 'feelers' and a 'tail'. they also don't look like any sort of insect larvae i have seen (way too small).

Yep, copepod! No worries, if you do put fish in there they'll eat them right up.
