I bought a bunch of liquid fertilizers a while back when I was loading up my tank with plants. A cichlid that I bought destroyed most of the plants, and I am now left with 5 amazon swords.

I placed root tabs with them, and dose excel every other day @ 1.5x recommended dosage (used to dose recommended daily). They've recovered pretty well from the cichlid damage and are slowly returning to their former size.

I still have the bottles of seachem's comprehensive, potassium, and iron. Would I see any benefit from adding those since my swords are root feeders?

They will absorb some nutrients from the water but mostly it will be via their roots. I'm afraid using your liquid ferts will just feed algae.

I suspected as much, thanks for clearing that up. That would also explain the small bits of green spot algae I was seeing before I upgraded the tank, and after I removed a lot of anubias/roseafolia/java fern.
