So I'm thinking about getting driftwood for my 36 g. What should I do before putting it in the tank?

Are you buying it from a fishstore or just picking it up outside?

Should be good to go, then, You can rinse or soak it if you want, but it should be waterlogged and cured already if it's submerged.

What do you mean? I heard its easier to boil it or something like that

You don't need to boil it if it's already submerged in a tank at the LFS. Boiling is what you do if you go find it in the forest.

Ahhh hah thanks:) off to the store in the morning!

A lot of things. Anubias, anubias nana petite, java moss, dwarf baby tears... sometimes you have to tie it down with fishing line or something at first but then it'll grow into it on its own.

Ima go crazy and buy a poop load of plants tomorrow!

Good, good. =] Stick to low-light plants though, okay? Like java moss, java fern, anubias, maybe a sword.

Will it help if I told you that the light has a really good reflector?

Haha, not particularly. It'd help but you can't do high-light plants.

Oh I wasn't thinking about getting high light plants:) cause I know you'd have to get co2

True. If you want a complete list of low-lighters, go to plantgeek.net.
