I keep getting duckweed in my drop checker, I usually wait until it sprouts roots that hang low enough so I can grab them with a tweezers. It doesn't get into the ball, but get's into the funnel part.
Would the duck weed be messing up my reading in my drop checker? And does anyone have a recommendation on easier removal out of the drop checker?

How is it getting into your drop checker?

If it is rotting in there it would have an effect on the reading, but a few small green pieces won't have a whole lot of effect... not enough to change the color anyway.

I have high flow in my tank and it gets blown around then get's trapped underneath.

ah ok.

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Just clean it out from time to time, a little here and there isn't going to do much. Drop checkers are great tools, but accuracy and precision aren't their strong points :). It is all pretty much a general range/guess anyway.
