Dwarf Hair Grass

Hey everyone, just got my new light isntalled and am ready to start growing more plants. I wanted to achieve a carpet effect with some dwarf hair grass. Will it have any problem spreading in gravel? Im usin gravel as a substrate and my girlfriend really likes the gravel, but I wish we would have gotten sand now that I have started planting more. What do you think?

The hairgrass will be fine in gravel. You sure you have enough lighting for the hairgrass? It takes quite a bit of light per gallon to grow that stuff. Especially if you want a nice dense carpet.

I have a 65 watt light over my 20 gallon. Should that be enough?
