Dying hornwort

Got a bundle of hornwort at a local aquarium shop for half off since it was starting to look a little brown. Whats the best way to bring this stuff back to life? Try not to plant it? Leave it floating. Non-co2 tank. 10k led lights 12 hr a day. Biweekly doses of flourish

Hornwort is in center of tank. Particulate floating in tank is from recent water fill.

Not sure. 12 hours is a long time for the lights though. You might hit algae problems.
