Planted these 10 days ago. Water parameters are great- 0, 0, 10-20. Fishless cycle finished 5 days ago. I have a mix of black sand and fluorite plant substrate. I am using root tabs and API liquid plant food. I have a power compact light fixture 2x55w, (ones an actinic and I heard those don't help much). No co2. Am I actually killing a plant thats been called "great for beginners"? Any advice.

All of my plants started dying off when I first planted them. Give it time, you should see new growth very soon. Just make sure you don't over fertilize and give algae something to grow on

That does not look to bad, give it some time to settle in. Hopefully it will settle in and grow well for you.

Cool. Just wasn't sure if I killed it.

@Amicus. It's a 37 gallon. Heavy planted.
