Excel dosed while air pump is running?

It just occurred to me...I've been running my air pump while dosing Excel. Am I throwing my Excel down the drain as a result?

No, you are not. It's not like CO2, it does not gas off. But they say that it becomes ineffective after 24 hours due to chemical changes. Not sure how that is. But that's why it's dosed daily.

I would guess the chemical changes that inactivate the Excel is light based. There is no reason not to run an air pump as you would be getting MORE dissolved CO2 into your tank that way.
