I bought some java moss about a week ago and tied it to a piece of driftwood but its not really growing like everyone says it does. In fact its not growing at all. It just sits there and looks even worse than before. My water check was all ok and im giving it 12 hours of light. Is there any way to make it grow faster without fertilizer?

Once the conditions are right, it will grow like a weed. Yes, it can be very slow at first. When tying it to driftwood, keep it thin; with thick clumps the moss on the bottom will turn brown and die.

I didnt know that. Ill just wait and be patient. Thanks guys! Oh and thanks for the tying tip.
