Well I found another forum with ppl who have these lights and a lot have had success with them with medium to low light plants using 2 daylight amd 1 colormax. So I think im gonna try another daylight. And see wat happens. Wish me luck

How often should the lights run? My tank is in the basement so theres no real light on it except for its light. Its been running 12 on 12 off since ive had it. Do the plants need differant amounts?

As long as you don't have algae issues running them that long then don't change it but if you start to notice algae growth you will need to back you photoperiod down.

Just rescaped my tank after switching rooms. Only thing im waiting on is christmas moss for the tree and then I think im set. Hope it all works out. Let me know what you think

You can get clamp fixtures that are black. They sell them for reptile tanks, to hold heat bulbs, but they work with any screw in bulb.

I hung mine from a frame I made from electrical conduit, which is held in place by acrylic 'legs' I had a friend make for me. Looks a bit industrial but it works well.

Not trying to hijack but mind posting or PMing a pic? Just curious on how it looks.

Errmmm...

That rock in picture three... Is it leaning against the tank glass? :nono:

It's hard to tell if it's just close to it or if it is actually putting a large amount of weight on it.
