Ferts or not?

I have a 20g long with crypts, java moss & fern, and some anubius but no stem plants. I use root tabs under all plants.

I have one 24 w T5HO bulb.

Do I need Flourish excel, comprehensive, or Iron?

Yes but I have been dosing Excel (every other day), Comprehensive (twice a week), and Iron (once a week).

It dawned on me when walking to work that since I have no plants that take nuitrents from the water column and I use root tabs, I may not need comprehensive or Iron but I do have algae growth but have been adjusting light hours. I do have snails and shrimp so algae is good.

If what you are doing is working then leave it that way. I think with your lighting and plants you probably do not need to. The Excel is a good idea as carbon supplementation always helps with plant growth.
