Mine is 72G Bowfront, clear glass top 40 W Aqueon Plant 48" so I need more light and was looking at the 48" finnex FugeRay for medium and low light plants.

Then I was thinking about just doing 2 24" jic I want more light/co2 later (I don't now). I could utilize the small ones on other tanks if that happened. And up grade. They are the exact same number of LEDs.

Lots of people here have the small and up to 36" sizes. Anyone have a larger size tank? 48" How are your experiences?

My light to substrate is appx 22" give or take.

Any specific benefits or negatives to either the 2 24" or one 48"?

Not sure on the FugeRays...I only use Truelumen 48" strips on my 60g but I'm sure you could use 2 24"...I haven't seen any PAR data on the FugeRays so I'm not sure

I just setup 2 of these over a 50 gallon long tank and I'm very impressed....Ordered a few more this week. I put up a short video on my blog..
