First aquascape tips?

Here's my first scape. Just put sand in! Sand went in with 0 cloudiness!

I am going to put a black background in

My BN pleco (kong short for kingkong) decided he didn't like the rocks and buried a lot of them... And then messed up my front. Ill take a pic of him too

They're floating right now! Everytime I plant then they end up floating the next day.

From what I have heard, plecos love digging up the plants.
