What's the best time to dose excel? After lights on, lights off? Just before the lights go on? What's worked best for you guys?

I want to hear experiences and alternatives, what's worked for you and what failed, trying to soak up as much info as possible.

When I did excel.I doused right befOre the lights went on. it seemed to work well

Right before the lights come on would be best, but if I've understood what the Seachem reps have told me, it matters fairly little, unlike dosing some short-lived fertilizers like Seachem Iron.
